Question: What happens if you take the dc power supply away from an inverter while the inverter is still running?

I turned my car off while my XPower 400 was still running, charging my iPhone. It made a wheezing sound, and I'm worried it'll explode or something if I use it again.

Haha, that happened to me too. but everything is fine with my phone and car. the sound was just the sound of the current stopping, and im guessing the iphone amplified it. so relax bud! :)
